Welcome to our website! Eco Pools is a quality pool service company with its head office located centrally in Town of Mount Royal.

Quality work, quality service is not developed overnight. Going into someone else's backyard and working with their expensive equipment is serious business. Homeowners seldom ask if the workers have been trained on their specific equipment. Our men have been trained and taught about every aspect in pool maintenance.

Every customer is important, no less than the next. Every year we sit down with every customer to discuss services, his or her needs and wants. We offer quality service with familiar faces you can trust. We never sub-contract our maintenance technicians, and we have technicians that have been with us for years. Our founder, Shawn Levy, seeks cutting edge technologies to improve all aspects of service and re-modeling. Saving our environment can lead us to saving money as well; energy audits find that most pools can reduce electrical consumption by 50%. Saving water is money in our pockets in many towns in Montreal—if you're not on a water meter you are still paying city taxes and they rise with water waste.

How we started:

In 2007, our founder Shawn Levy was searching for new opportunities with his lifeguard acumen. Levy found himself sharing the responsibility of managing 65 employees across 25 commercial swimming pools for a company that supplied lifeguards and pool maintenance service. Levy was discouraged to continue with the company due to limited opportunity and lack of prompt attitude towards maintenance issues.

In 2008, Levy opened a company with aspirations to offer lifeguard services to hotels and sports clubs. After signing one very prestigious golf club in Ile-Bizard, Levy noticed that the demand for his services were not as he anticipated, and decided to learn the ropes of a "pool boy". Levy took on a client list from an already accomplished pool professional as a sub-contractor, and learnt the pool trade through this man's old school ways. It was in this summer that Levy was introduced to the AutoPilot salt chlorine generator. It was through maintenance that Levy discovered was the Achilles heel of his competitors in the lifeguard supply business.

In 2009, Levy rediscovered many of his contacts at apartment buildings, and was operating under 2 divisions: Levy Pool Management, for specifically lifeguard supply and Eco Pools for all maintenance.

Levy, started getting phone calls from all over for backyard pools. Residential pools were not part of the original business plan, but it was definitely of interest and the company gladly took on the customers.

In 2010, Eco Pools actively sought out residential customers. Ever since we've been growing at a great pace. Levy started going to Florida for factory training on AutoPilot and AquaCal. This season saw Levy install the first AquaCal SuperQuiet Heat Pump in Montreal. Imagine paying less than $2/day to heat your pool, on top of that it is SuperQueit! ECO Pools & Hot Tubs is the only certified Authorized Preferred dealer for AquaCal and AutoPilot in Canada.

In 2011, Eco Pools started doing warranty repair on salt systems and heaters. Levy has gone all over for training on every pool equipment brand—Levy can fix them all.

Condo Pools have become a real specialty of ours—rooftop pools are getting more popular, and we are offering a special package for them.

In 2012, Eco Pools moved its head office to Mount Royal, still keeping the original office in Dollard-des-Ormeaux to keep the prompt lead times in the West Island.

In 2013, Eco Pools dedicated themselves to find a "cure" for all the pool paint problems. Due to VOC rules, the government took away the right to use smelly stinky chemicals in our paints, where paint would last on our pools. What we are left with today are paints that bleach, chalk, chip, bubble, and flake—no matter how well the preparation was done. Levy is a perfectionist, he wants your pool to be just right for your family; paint was not cutting it. Epoxy paint is supposed to last 5-8 years and is chalking after 3 weeks—unacceptable, but truly not the fault of the paint people, their product is now limited due to low VOC laws.

Eco Pools is truly behind the benefits from all the low VOC laws—no one should be breathing in harsh chemicals as well destroying our environment from adding extra greenhouse gases.

Levy met Mike Cleary of EcoPoolFinish…funny enough with a great name like this; it must be meant to be. EcoFinish is a revolutionary product developed to coat pools as an alternative to paint and plaster. The product looks like granite on the pool, it comes with a manufacturer warranty of 10 years and is made to last 25 years.
